Dinosaur Leg Ripped Off by Chicxulub

A recent article about dinosaurs and the metanarrative that is the secular worldview caught my attention this week. I have posted the link below. Read the article and see what you think is actually ‘observed’ and what is merely ‘theorized.’

Denying God’s revelation in Scripture that He brought a global and universal Flood upon the entire earth in judgment for man’s wickedness (Genesis 6:5-7), the secular paleontologist is free to theorize about an asteroid impact that caused a flash flood which then ripped off the leg of a small herbivore in the Thescelosaurus genus, leaving its leg fossilized. This impact happened some 66 million Darwin-years ago and wiped out 75 per cent of all animal and plant species. It was one of the 5 or 6 mass extinction events that secular geologists claim happened in earth history as portrayed in their timeline of the geologic column (see my two posts Jesus Did Not Create the Geologic Column and then the follow-on post Adam at the End of Creation?).

The asteroid impact was at Chicxulub at the tip of the Yucatan Peninsula in the Gulf of Mexico. The dinosaur leg fossil was found at a dinosaur dig site called Tanis in North Dakota—about 1800 miles away.

Please notice that per the Daily Mail article it was a flash flood that ripped off the leg of this dinosaur. Hmm, a ‘flood’ ripped off its leg? Sounds familiar doesn’t it? I think I’ve read somewhere about this before. Hint: see Genesis 6-9. The universal and global flood of Noah was the ultimate flash flood, with tsunami like waves inundating the continents in successive waves over a period of months burying and ripping and destroying all in its path. It was total devastation on a global scale like never before and never seen since.

One wonders if dinosaur soft tissue (blood cells, proteins), osteocytes (bone cells), and even C-14 will be found in this fossilized leg. The article doesn’t say, but then, per their preconceived biases of millions and billions of years they probably aren’t looking for it (see my post Blood Cells, Blood Vessels, DNA and C-14 in Dinosaur Bones: Support for Evolution?).

Seeking to live life apart from God, apart from acknowledging God, and apart from obedience to His demands—His requirements of us—places enormous pressure on the secularist to come up with an alternative metanarrative for his existence. It’s the basic philosophical question of “Why is something there, rather than nothing being there.” Each of us must answer that question. How you answer is paramount to your existence while alive on earth, and paramount to your existence after the physical death of your body. No, death is not the cessation of your existence. You will live on. Where that existence is to take place is what one must be concerned with. Is it with God or without God? The contrasts are extremely stark.

God did not use evolution to create His universe. He didn’t need billions and millions of years to painstakingly bring His biodiversity of life into being, only to wipe it out in 5 major mass extinctions and then start it all over again. He didn’t use the engine of death to fortify the survival of the fittest so that they would then pass on those genes to the next generation. The whole evolutionary metanarrative from its beginnings in the Big Bang, to its coalescing of aggregates into planets, life springing from non-life on this planet, and then changing from one form of life to a completely other form of life until finally a conscious, reasoning, logical, able to think in the abstract life-form called ‘human’ pops out is the biggest false narrative of the last 170 years. The whole metanarrative with its cosmological, geological, and biological facets is a cooked-up myth to avoid the clear metronomic voice of God ticking away in each of our consciences: “I’m here and I am not silent. Look around you. Look inside you. I came down and visited you. I lived among you. You are without excuse.”

“I, EVEN I, AM YAHWEH; AND THERE IS NO SAVIOR BESIDES ME.
